The Creative Writing Department at CAPA is dedicated to developing the next generation of literary artists. We provide a nurturing environment where young writers can reach their full artistic potential as wordsmiths, journalists, truth-tellers, poets, and performers. Our program is designed for students who are passionate about writing in their free time, whether they’re drafting fictional stories, screenplays, or plays. We also believe in the power of writing to connect us to one another, building a community of artists.
We seek out students who are driven to explore themselves, their identities, and the world around them through the written word. We believe in the power of language to uncover compelling stories and reveal universal truths. In our department, students are challenged to hone their craft, experiment with different forms and genres, and discover their unique writerly voice. The CAPA Creative Writing program is where raw talent is transformed into artistic excellence.
